It is with enormous pride that we, at Spawn Of Chaos can finally announce. The cast and characters of, The Emissaries Of The Ancients. Emissaries is our full length second show set within the same world (Gregoor-Sheav) as our beloved show, The Heralds Of Wayinar.
Emissaries takes place a stone's throw (figuratively speaking) from the events of Heralds and at a similar time period, tying up loose threads, creating new mysteries and introducing a new set of heroes whose destinies are unlike anything that you'll expect. Emissaries expands the world, leading you through a story of a different tone embarking on a journey that will intertwine with the events of Heralds in mind blowing ways.
Returning to the show is the runaway Druid and seeker Sorrel, who's appearance in episode 1 of The Heralds Of Wayinar last saw them forced off of a cliff into the perilous waters below to escape both a horde of undead and a distrusting group of aspiring Heralds.
If you've not seen it already, feel free to check out the Emissaries Roundtable, our informal stream that introduces the cast and characters, with an added spice of constant trains puns (don't ask).
Sorrel Aquila of the Yarkoona Tribe, from the depths of the desert in Javar VunGal, is an Edwed taught in the ways of Natures Magical Arts. Courtesy of his former Master. He is a Seeker and on the hunt to find the secrets of his Order before the Shadows that chase him, finally catch up. (short story to come soon).
Katya is a fiercely independent merchant from Kal-Barr. She came from a city filled with thugs, rogues and the darkest dregs of society where it didn't matter who or what you did only the amount of money in your pocket. She is a woman of many talents, who values stories and knowledge above all. Katya has a bone to pick with those who are self-righteous and believe in their own holiness. She is not a person to be messed with.
Clemenz is a mysterious Edwid that appeared from the jungles and met the party after his abrupt awakening in the abandoned blood soaked church surrounded by broken bodies, not much is known of him as his memories are scattered only glimpses of his past remain. He though, is very friendly and attaches to the party fairly quickly after meeting them! His new goal now is to find his past and protect his new friends!
Elyiaes was a former soldier serving Nov Romara and took part in the great incursion into Jvar VunGal. He was a medic, but his interests lied in his hobby of crafting and engineering. He found a new home in Faltus where he took his talents to work as a blacksmith fixing and inventing new tools Faltus used to prosper. After the tragic loss of his daughter, he's an Edwid on a mission for revenge and is seeking answers.
Sheezo Skulbrukt resides in the city of Skul'pratla located in the wild lands of Tekinesh. She is married to a former pirate named Kytau. Together they have had 7 children 2 of which have died. Sheezo is a prominent voice in Skul'pratla and very well to do. Sheezo appears to be in her early 40s. In Tekinesh the name of Skulbrukt carries a lot of weight (sometimes good, sometimes bad depending on who you ask).

For those eagle eyed and eagle eared of you, some of you may be reading this and thinking;
"Hey, Spawn of Chaos crew, what was that intro monologue for that character you posted almost 3 months ago about? Did y'all just forget about them?"
No... we did not... in fact, if you are all caught up and just watched Episode 4 of The Heralds of Wayinar, you will have seen that the party has been slowly losing members along their journey. Sorrel leapt off a cliff with his adventure picking up in our bonus show The Emissaries of the Ancients, coming to PREMIUM very soon! Gorrkarraus had to face off against his past and make a brutal choice to seek his own answers locking himself behind THE BLOOD DOOR and Lord Amadeus was killed when the party failed to navigate the ferocious waters off the coast of Jvar-Vungal. What is this, Game of Thrones?
In a house on the outskirts of a village plagued by 'monsters and brigands' The Heralds encounter a thin faced, elongated, tall figure standing more than 7ft tall and the last words you heard Obi speak were...
Introducing Cendrillion, our first encounter with the elusive Primes!
played by Nick Little
Lifespan: 300-500 years (and in some cases, 600+)
Physically, Primes are tall but thin. At 7-8 feet tall, they tower over Edwed Minors, but are less hardy than Edwed Majors. Far more philosophic and introspective than they’re smaller cousins, the Primes primarily live lives of reflection and study. Their will and control over their emotions is unmatched.
After the War of the Breaking, they were driven from all continents except Nue-Planoak where they have lived in isolation studying the stars. They are attempting to piece together the lost secrets of their ancestors to prepare for what is to come.
The Primes of Kal-Uys have an ancient culture steeped in tradition. Their cities are marvels of architecture built into the natural landscape and their scholars are steeped in ancient lore and philosophy.
The Primes of Kal-Shvun live a more naturalistic lifestyle, living wild compared to their more refined kin, with home that are barely discernable from landscapes in which they are nestled. They have a deep respect for natural order and see technology and industry as a cancer corrupting Gregoor-Sheav.
There are Other Primes who have been isolated from larger Prime society. This genetic drift has caused them to developed into barely recognizable variations of the original race.
Written by Kristen Coleman
In the month leading up to our premiere it was proposed that I (Kristen Coleman) run a series of D&D one-shots to introduce our audience to the dark world of Gregoor-Sheav. We wanted to achieve what no other D&D actual-play production does and bring our fan and community directly into the heart of the show. Sitting down and watching The Heralds of Wayinar or The Emissaries of the Ancients is one thing, but being able to play a game alongside your friends and alongside the cast & crew is just next level.
I was very honored to be handed this opportunity. Due to the overwhelming success and popularity of the game I ended up having to recruit 2 other DMs to help me with the sessions. A huge thanks to Nick Little and Liz Valix for helping with all of this, without you both I'm not sure how successful it would have been.
We had such a great turn out for the sessions. So much so that from the time we posted the first advert for it on the D&D 'Looking for group' subreddit we pre-booked all available slots for the month within 48 hours. In total we did 7 sessions. In those sessions were the following players:
Every single one of these players got to experience our world and did an amazing job. It was our pleasure to DM them and bring our fantastic world to them.
I had lots of input from the writing team with ideas for the one-shot. I finally decided to run the adventure in the country of Tekinesh. The party was hired by a woman in the city of Skul’pratla named Sheezo Skulbrukt to rescue her daughter named Dermacia. The party was sent to the port city of Cor’vitarr where they were led to an inn by a very crazy old man.
I spoke with Brad who plays Obi and we agreed it would be a nice idea to add easter eggs into the one shot for players to discover that directly link to the main shows, one of which was; upon arriving at the inn, the party discovered a carving on one of the overhanging supports, a carving that read “Obi was here”.
Inside the inn they ran into some big baddies, an Edwed couple that were to be married the next day. A bard with a broken lute. They also found a secret entrance to an underground lair. In this lair they found a drug den filled with Dragons Bane (a special liquid drug) the big boss, his pet (A beast never before seen on Gregoor-Sheav a Chimera), and of course Dermicia tied to a pole and about to be eaten.
It was fun running all of the groups and seeing how each group approached each situation. The role play was AMAZING. I love some of the backstory stuff each character made up about each other person in the party.
Some of my favorite things are that multiple groups messed with the carving of Obi’s name and changed it to read something funny. Most of the groups went straight into the tavern to check it out. Only one of the groups had someone go around to the back to check out the stable area. There were some very inventive ways of taking out the barkeep who was a pretty beefy NPC. Charm worked well on him. Oh, and as a few PCs found out, don't ask for the 'good stuff' when ordering from a very shady establishment.
After finally dispatching the bodyguards and the barkeep. The parties headed into the darkness where most of them found the drug lab. Others saw it and kept going. This is where they found Dalmax, the leader of the drug den and Dermicia tied to a pole and gagged.
A big fight ensued.
Him being a mage cast a few fireballs and counter-spelled a few spells. He also got a few of his own spells countered. Then the pet emerged where it was usually dispatched pretty quickly. The party freed Dermicia and they headed back to Skul’pratla.
We hope that we can run many more of these for our audience members and that they all turn out as fun as this one was. In fact, we're probably going to make it a monthly thing moving forward!
Be on the lookout for the next one-shot which I will be writing soon.
So I guess a bit about me
I have been playing D&D for roughly 35 years and DMing for approximately 30 years. I am on the writing team for the show and will be playing a character appearing on The Emissaries of the Ancients. I also have a bunch of other responsibilities behind the scenes for the show and sometimes forget to say no to all the cast and crew when they need something.
A bit about Nick
Nick has been running D&D for about 3 years, but spent many years roleplaying at tables for Warhammer 40k. His tactical approach to TTRPGs make him both a skilled mechanics crafter behind the screen and a creative outside-the-box tactician in front of it. You can see more of Nick in The Heralds of Wayinar when his character, Cendrillion, enters the fray in episode 5.
A bit about Liz
Liz is 100% raw energy and talent hailing all the way from 'DownUnder' (Australia). She has been playing D&D for 4 years now but what she lacks in experience she makes up for with effort and ingenuity. She is part of the premium Spawn of Chaos content on The Emissaries of The Ancients table and boy, is she excited to show off the pure chaos that she can reign upon her fellow party members.

The world of Gregoor-Sheav writhes in chaos. Heroes rise and fall time and time again as the great battles of this world fade into the recesses of time. However, stories foretold on the lips of dark whispers warns of a second 'breaking', a cataclysmic event set to consume the world demanding more than just great heroes, it beckons the return of the Heralds!
It is with great pleasure that we can finally reveal to you, The Heralds of Wayinar
Brought to life by the incredibly talented Carlos Jaramillo who expertly and with a level of passion that can't be expressed in words, captures the very essence of the characters and the months of work put in by everyone behind the scenes here at Spawn of Chaos. From conceptual initial sketches (shown below) and hours of character development meetings we have meticulously developed some of the most diverse and interesting characters ever to set foot into a D&D universe. The entire cast and crew would like to thank Carlos and his team for bringing the world of Gregoor-Sheav to life.
2) What has it been like working with Russell and the cast on their characters?
I liked it, Russell is very disciplined and organized, and he gives me the necessary references and descriptions to achieve a good result. The characters are very different from each other, unique, and I like that.
3) What is your process for creating the art and how long does it normally take you?
I see all the references that the client has given me, then I look for more references myself, keeping the descriptions in mind, then I make many drafts with all the information obtained, a graphic brainstorming of ideas, then I draw 2 or 3 sketches to deliver , I make the changes the client asks me or I think are pertinent myself and finally I proceed with the color and texturing. That process takes me about 4 days, sometimes more sometimes less depending on the vagaries of daily life.
4) Who has been your favourite character from The Heralds of Wayinar to work on and why?
I really like Gorrkarraus, I have always liked strong characters, but at the same time I like agility characters, that's why my second favorite character is Obi. I had a lot of fun designing them.
5) How can people who are interested in your work find you? Are you on social media?
Website or portfolio? Of course, You can find me on instagram as @carlosjar_art, also in my artstation carlosjar.artstation.com
Sketches & concept art
We are excited to announce that we are launching an official one shot, set within the living breathing world of the Spawn of Chaos show. Now is your chance to play out a lore accurate canon story of your very own, written by our incredibly talented writing team and DM'd by our very own Kristen Coleman, cast member of the Emissaries of the Ancients!
Your party has been tasked with bringing back the Daughter of Sheezo Skulbrukt. A very prominent woman from the city of Skul’pratla. She has hired you to travel via boat to the port city of Cor’Vitarr, there you will meet Kalebar Makcrogie.
You're about to embark on an official one shot set within the world of Gregoor-Sheav, your actions throughout this adventure today tie into the living, breathing world of the show, it's your turn to be the heroes.
Everyone will be Level 4 with pre-created characters for this adventure.
The Island of Tekinesh; Tekinesh was originally a collection of pirate havens set up along the treacherous coasts of the island to escape Nov Romarian Cruisers. Eventually, these havens evolved into full blown colonies, towns and even cities. It is one of the few great failures of the Nov Romaran expansion though, according to their scholars, it never happened.
You will need a Discord account for video and voice and a DnDBeyond account for your character. Characters will be given out first come first serve and you will get to keep a copy of the character on DnDBeyond (should you ever want to take up that character again). These one-shots will be run once per week depending on our DMs availability in preparation to the lead up to the main Spawn of Chaos show.
Greetings one and all and once again welcome back one of our regular news updates, where we at Spawn of Chaos keep you in the loop on what's happening in our world and behind the scenes here in the build up to our launch on August 6th.
Firstly, we'd like to quickly go through a brief schedule of what to expect from us, content-wise, coming out over the next few weeks.
Starting off with a bang, on Wednesday July 7th we are FINALLY going to give Russell E. Welch III the spotlight he deserves with Spawn of Chaos: Meet the DM, releasing on our Youtube channel at 7pm PDT. Where we sit the dungeon master down and grill him on the world, his inspiration for Gregoor-Sheav, the recruitment process for the show and oddly enough who he'd rather kiss, marry or kill out of a half orc barbarian with an affinity for crochet, a reclusive wealthy bard or a half elven nature druid who makes 'dead people' tea. Yeah, don't ask...
We are also releasing a host of different 'Meet the cast: Mini' spotlights over on our TikTok channel; Brad (Obi), Ariel (Rosara) and Matt (Gorrkarraus) are already live with the remainder of the cast coming out over the course of the week, every single day.
We are happy to announce that we are releasing full blown real-play character one shots hosted by our dungeon master Russel E. Welch III to further add to our Spawn of Chaos: Meet the Heralds content playlist. Each 'one shot' is roughly an hour and a half long. These 'prologues' are extremely entertaining and allow you to journey alongside each of our heroes, helping you understand the moments leading up to the beginning of episode 1.
Spawn of Chaos: Meet the Heralds - Rosara
Streaming on Twitch LIVE, Friday at 5pm PDT. Then airing for free on Youtube on Monday at 5pm PDT.
Spawn of chaos - concept art teaser
Let's talk art, concept art specifically... Over the past few weeks we have reached out to some incredibly talented artists to help us create the visuals for our world. World art; Gregoor-Sheav is as vibrant as it is gritty and no two places are the same. From tall mountainside citadels to floral hilly meadows and baron tundra Gregoor-Sheav is a vast and dynamic world rich in places to explore. We are happy to share concept art by the incredible Paul Kendel who has created some amazing digital pieces of art for us:
I'm sure you'd agree they're stunning and we couldn't be happier to have such incredible artists helping us build our world that we can ultimately share with all of you on August 6th.
Be sure to check back VERY SOON, where we'll be releasing the all important character art for our players and here's a secret. Not even they have seen the final versions yet. It's going to be wild! We'll be releasing a special live reaction video called, Spawn of Chaos: Character Art Reveal within the next two weeks.
Six hundred years after the world broke, after two thirds of the Edwed people were wiped from the face of Gregoor-Sheav, new nations have pieced themselves together and risen from the ashes. Old scars run deep, and once again eyes look to the night sky in fear and see signs of darkness to come.
Welcome back everyone, to 'Everything you need to know before watching Spawn of Chaos' part 2. Today's article covers our minor adaptations to the vanilla Dungeons & Dragons ruleset which we will be using throughout the campaign. These rule changed cover two new features:
Team Initiative and Critical Wounds
Don't forget, this week is officially HYPE WEEK. We are releasing back to back to back teasers for each of the main cast characters, every single day. Starting with:
Gorrkarraus - Is revealed on Tuesday 22nd June @ 5pm PDT.
WATCH HERE LIVE
Obi - Is revealed Wednesday 23rd June @ 5pm PDT.
WATCH HERE LIVE
We are altering the initiative rules to encourage teamwork, to make combat more fluid and hopefully less time consuming. In most instances, the group and the monsters they will face will all act on the same initiative. This is how it works:
At the beginning of round 1, players roll initiative as normal. Monsters roll a single initiative roll. Initiative will not be rolled again for the duration of the battle except in extraordinary circumstances (the players get separated into multiple combats, there is a lull in the fighting, etc.) If all the players beat the monsters initiative or the monster beats all the players initiative, players can act in any order they would like which will facilitate team work and streamline the combat round. If some of the players win initiative and some do not, the players who won will act.
The players who won initiative and the monsters’ actions will constitute a round. A new round begins with all the players’ actions followed by the Monsters’ actions. Combat will continue in this order for the duration of the battle.
For example: Fighter, Cleric, Rogue, and MU are fighting a giant SnotLocker, a particularly nasty Ogre with the lower body of a slug. Rogue and MU beat the Snot Locker’s initiative, but the Fighter and Cleric do not. Rogue maneuvers for a backstab and MU wets himself and turns invisible. Snot Locker lashes out with its acidic tongue and misses the fighter. Round 1 is over.
At the beginning of round 2, all the player characters can act in any order they see fit. Once their actions have been resolved, the monsters act. On to round 3 and so on. By eliminating player order in relation to each other, players will be able to coordinate their efforts more effectively and combat should have a smoother flow creating a more cinematic experience for viewers. There are instances when we will not use team initiative and default to standard rules. These include (but are not limited to) battles where players cannot effectively communicate with each other or there are several monsters with drastically different initiative modifiers, but we will try to stick to Team Initiative as much as possible.
There are two ways to suffer and deliver a critical wound. The first is to roll a natural 20 on an attack roll. The second, is to suffer damage equal to ⅓ of your starting Hit Points (HP) from a single attack. In both instances, the Dungeon Master will roll on the appropriate table for the effect of the blow. This alteration is meant to make combat a bit deadlier, more cinematic, and to make the players characters think twice before deciding to go full ‘murder-hobo’.
A summarized dive into the world of Gregoor-Sheav, the fantasy setting of our exciting new Dungeons and Dragons real-play show. What to expect from us in terms of episode length and format and what minor, yet impactful alterations we're making to the way Dungeons and Dragons is played for the benefit of you, the viewer and to add new elements of strategy to our player cast.
"Episode one begins in a clearing deep in the desolation of Jvar Van’Gul, a small band of misfits, the damaged and the broken, have been gathered by an unseen entity, an observer who knows all their secrets. Could this band of damaged souls be the ones? Time will tell, but without heroes of old, the world of Gregoor-Sheav is truly doomed..."
Welcome community, to this guide of everything you need to know before watching Spawn of Chaos!
Without further ado; You don't actually need to know anything before diving into our story on August 6th. Episode one of our multi arc narrative will take you across the length and breadth of Gregoor-Sheav, and will act as a scene setter for the timeline of the world. This will also introduce you to our main characters and wet your appetite for the adventures to come.
What's so fantastic about this journey we're taking you on is that our player cast will be experiencing this world (for the most part) for the very first time alongside you, which means their reactions to the many events, beasts and NPCs will be completely genuine and surprise and shock them as well.
What is Spawn of Chaos?
Spawn of Chaos is a dark fantasy Dungeons and Dragons cinematic story, created by the mind of Russell E. Welch (the Dungeon Master) and perfected by our various talented writing staff led by Bryan Henery, who doesn't always like to admit he's been playing and crafting stories for Dungeons and Dragons for the past 45+ years.
Who are the cast of Spawn of Chaos?
Spawn of Chaos stars Russell E. Welch as our Dungeon Master alongside Brad Marsh, Matt Conner, Nick Little, Ariel Quinain, Joshua Jenkins and Zane Ellenbarger. But this is not all, we are also launching a second show within a few months of our main show airing that will feature a second set of heroes, who are embarking on a different journey in parallel to the main show which will feature: Kristen Coleman, Donovon Wolford, Caleb Welch, Frank French and Paige Bell, alongside a supporting cast of Bryan Henery, James Dover and Joel Welch.
What if I've never watched or played Dungeons and Dragons before?
Most tabletop roleplaying games (TTRPGs), especially Dungeons and Dragons (5th edition) are centered around a luck-based decision making mechanic whereby players roll various numbered dice to determine if the outcome of their choices were a success or a failure. Our show Spawn of Chaos, heavily relies on collaborative storytelling whereby our Dungeon Master narrates a compelling fantasy adventure and our cast act out their characters in real time to the decisions and moral dilemma's presented to them, which can lead to both serious, somber, scary or comedic results.
All of our cast have been working for months on the personality development of their individual characters, they will be acting them live, as if they were actually there, feeling all of their successes and failures and delivering that experience in a truly cinematic way catapulting what is a simple table top RPG into a show you'll want to sit down and enjoy every single week.
It's important to remember, the basic rules that Dungeons and Dragons is built off of are only meant to be guidelines and the 'rule of cool' is often applied to situations where a character wants to attempt something completely out of the box using a unique set of variables, anything goes and that's what makes Dungeons and Dragons so great.
Still here? Great... however I must warn you, this next part is for the lore buffs of you out there who like to immerse themselves into the very core of the world we'll be living in. If the below is still not enough, we're releasing an even larger deep dive into the lore of Gregoor-Sheav soon.
How about an introduction to the world of Gregoor-Sheav?
Mog-Anesh is the largest continent in Gregoor-Sheav and is primarily controlled by the empire, Nov Romara which, according to Nov Romaran propaganda, is the greatest nation that ever was or will be. Nov Romara has the largest standing army and navy in the world and is on the edge of an industrial revolution. Its access to technology and natural resources makes it the single most influential nation in all of Gregoor-Sheav. Nov Romara’s greatest rival on Mog-Anesh is the Coalition of Marquis. Once a collection of thirty warring states, Nov Romara attempted to annex the territory roughly thirty years ago.
Eld-Planoak (Western Continent)
Ed-Planoak has some of the most beautiful, tropical coastline in all of Gregoor-Sheav, but its interior is burning deserts and rolling plains. Its largest nation is Jvar VanGul. Its army, however, is no match for the Nov Romaran legions and it has usually been on the losing end of most open conflicts. Bor Bor is a massive nation as well, however it is largely made up of nomadic communal groups that follow the trade routes between smaller, wealthier nations.
The nation of Oaknesh and the God Seat of Oakiris in the south are largely shunned by the rest of the world. Only Tekinesh has a standing relationship as its slave traders have grown rich pouring slaves into Oakresh to feed its perpetual civil war. Faltus is one of the smallest nations in Eld-Planoak and is a center of culture and art. It bears the distinction of being the only nation annexed by Nov Romara, but then granted its unequivocal independence.
Nue-Planoak (South Eastern Continent)
The continent of Nue-Planoak is a lush, green land with temperate zones in the north, and tropical zones in the south. Most of the land are dominated by two nations, Kal-Uys and Kal-Shvun, the nations of the Primes. Kal-Ulys is dotted with wonderous cities of white marble, constructed with impossible curves and spiraling towers that reach for the stars. Kal-Shvun has adopted a more natural aesthetic, crafting their communities to meld with the natural world as if their homes grew from the forests in which they nestle.
Nov-Re is the one bastion of the Nov Romaran empire established on the continent. For seven years, the Nov Romarans battled the Primes and Kal-Bar forces to establish the beachhead. Since then, it has quickly evolved into a colonial satellite that allows the empire some influence in the region.
The Island Nations
Tekinesh was originally a collection of pirate havens set up along the treacherous coasts of the island to escape Nov Romarian Cruisers. Eventually, these havens evolved into full blown colonies, towns and even cities. It is one of the few great failures of Nov Romaran expansion, though, according to their scholars, it never happened.
Nov Ri is the last bastion left from the Nov Romaran invasion of Tekinesh. It serves as a launching point for Nov Romaran privateers, yet its proximity to Tekinesh has invited some unwanted elements and it is more lawless than most Nov Romaran colonies.
The island nation of Joun has vast natural supplies of precious metals and stones making it the richest nation in the world. It would have been threatened long ago, but the queen has openly revealed her possession of on of the artifacts of the Heralds which is enough to give any nation pause.
Unique races within Gregoor-Sheav
The main physiology of the races within Gregoor-Sheav are considered humanoid, with some exceptions. But don't be alarmed just yet, variety is just around the corner:
Minors: Are between 3-4 feet high. Think traditionally, halflings, gnomes goblins that are on the small side, Dwarves on the largish size.
Majors: Are considered 5-6 ft tall. Think Elves and Humans.
Primes: Primes are larger, 7-8ft tall, but could grow to be as large as 9ft. Primes have variations that can be more bestial if they have abandoned their people and have inherited some genetic drift. This is where you might get some things reflecting hybrid races within the vanilla Dungeons and Dragons universe.
All races within Gregoor-Sheav can adopt a plethora of different color patterns that typically reflect geographic areas where they were born. Interestingly enough, the world map shown above may work as a guideline (meaning the colors the countries are presented in would reflect inhabitants, but this is not a hard fast rule). Skin patterns can be marbled, stripped or Tai Dyeish, but colors should not completely clash. Hair color varies far more than human hair color, as well as eyes.
This weeks news covers the work our team has done working up to the launch on august 6th, going into detail about world building and writing engaging character backstories.
Ever since the launch of our teaser last week, we're seeing our community start to slowly grow which is humbling. Whilst we're still over a month away from releasing actual episodic content, it's nice to see conversations and speculation crop up from the community about what the world of Gregoor-Sheav and the show might have in store for you all. Some of you are extremely close! Keep guessing!
Our writing department has been working flat out behind the scenes, scheduling multiple main cast meetings to focus on creating some of the most ambitious, diverse and entertaining array of characters in any Dungeons & Dragons podcast yet, and in addition to that, each character has equally impressive backstories to go along with them. So much so, we're spoilt for choice on how to actually portray all of them equally throughout the first season. It's come to our realization that, we at Spawn of Chaos have no intention of short changing our audience when it comes to content and as such we are most likely going to have to create multiple spin-offs and short stories to explore these backstories in the detail you deserve.
All of these characters had lives before we meet them during episode one and only so much can be explored on screen during the time limits we're adhering to for our show length without sacrificing the flow of the main narrative.
Our creative department has also been hard at work building a plethora of character art, NPC art, world maps and monster art to help our community to immerse themselves into the living, breathing world of the Spawn of Chaos show.
Main cast interviews & rehearsals
One of the fantastic things about our cast, like already mentioned in previous news stories is how deeply invested in the Dungeons and Dragons game they all are; at the heart of it, they're all veteran players of the game each with a deep understanding of not only rules and mechanics but also an impressive ability to role play and drag you into and bind you to their characters stories. Each character has their own unique personalities, their own wants, desires, goals and political/religious beliefs within the world.
Our production team, cannot wait to see how you, our valued community react to the encounters they face and how the story laid out before them is tackled, explored and concluded.
The cast has been doing regular improvisational theatre sessions together, getting into character and perfecting their mannerisms so they they can truly deliver a performance that draws you in and rivals even the most popular D&D shows out there.
We have also called a wrap on our main cast/crew interviews that will be releasing periodically leading up to the launch of episodes 1-3 on our Youtube channel, hosted glamorously by Paige Bell and Donovon Wolford. You'll get a chance to meet them all and hear about how they joined the team, what their role within the production is and how they plan to help propel Spawn of Chaos to the top of D&D podcasts globally.
Chaos awaits you, in the dark!
